CareerVolt is seeking contract/freelance professionals to join our team as part-time, substantive scientific editors. You should be experienced (2-5+ years) and able to provide substantive and developmental editing services on scientific (technical) grant proposals and manuscripts.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality and thoughtful comments and guidance on early versions of grant applications 
Provide high-quality and thoughtful in-depth substantive scientific editing on grant applications
Turn in documents with high-quality comments or edits, even on short turnarounds (e.g., within 48 business hours of receipt)
Position Requirements:
2-5 years of scientific editing experience
PhD or equivalent degree in a STEM or public health field required 
Demonstrated familiarity with NIH/NSF/DoD funding application processes
Superior written communication skills
Provide 2-3 references
Candidates based in US preferred
Compensation:
$85 per hour
